Shibuya Ward's demonstration project “Innovation for New Normal from Shibuya” has selected VACAN Co., Ltd. to introduce its services.

Shibuya Ward has adopted the IoT service “VACAN AirKnock Ads” (hereinafter referred to as “AirKnock Ads”) developed by VACAN Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tsuyoshi Kono; hereinafter referred to as “VACAN”), a startup that leverages AI and IoT to distribute information on all available spaces. This initiative aims to reduce congestion in restrooms on floors 1 to 4 of Shibuya Ward Office, thereby providing a more comfortable environment for users.

This marks the first case of full-scale implementation in Shibuya Ward, selected from among 158 companies that applied through the pilot project “Innovation for New Normal from Shibuya,” with 16 companies chosen to conduct pilot tests.

Shibuya Ward will use this project as an opportunity to accelerate the demonstration and implementation of technology solutions to address social issues, aiming to enhance the quality of life for its residents and further establish itself as a hub city for startups and innovation.
