Kobe City and Shibuya Ward sign partnership agreement for startup support.

Kobe City and Shibuya Ward were selected as “Global Hub Cities” by the Cabinet Office in 2020 and are working to build startup ecosystems. To collaborate on the “support for entrepreneurs” initiatives they have been promoting, the two entities signed a partnership agreement on July 6, 2021.Under this agreement, the two cities will complement each other's support environments—such as venture capital firms, entrepreneur communities, and testing grounds for pilot projects—to accelerate efforts to build a startup ecosystem.

As the first initiative under this agreement, we will launch the “NOROSI Startup HUB” program, which will facilitate mutual exchange between startup talent seeking new ways of working in the east and west, enable them to form project teams, and work together to create new value.
