HerRise: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Shibuya Starting June 18

Shibuya City is launching a new program called HerRise, designed to foster entrepreneurial spirit and provide practical knowledge to women who are currently running startups or aiming to launch their own in the future.Through this program, Shibuya aims to further establish itself as an international hub for startups. The initiative supports the development of a startup ecosystem for women entrepreneurs, encourages relationship-building with startup supporters, and helps female founders grow into globally active leaders.The first workshop, "Mindset Building for Women Entrepreneurs," will be held on June 18, 2025. Program Overview

HerRise is a hands-on, multi-session workshop series created for women entrepreneurs and startup founders looking to grow their business in Japan. Six seminars will be held during 2025. On each seminar day, Shibuya Startup Support’s office will be open exclusively for participating women entrepreneurs, providing a supportive environment for networking and casual consultation with on-site advisors.A large-scale event for women entrepreneurs is also planned for February 2026.

Women Entrepreneur Partner Matching: (name TBD) (3rd or 4th week of Feb 2026)

Seminar 6: Learning from Real Stories: Entrepreneurial Trial & Error Case Studies (18/3/2026)

All sessions are designed with a strong focus on practical application and immediate action. Participants can join individual sessions, but we recommend continuous participation to grow together as a mutually supportive community network.

Timeline

Open Hour (Optional Wall-Kicking & Consultation): 9:00 AM to 6:00

PMSeminar: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:

・Be a woman entrepreneur or a member of Shibuya Startup Support

・Be a registered individual or company in Japan, or plan to register within one year with a clear product idea (recommended)

・Have business-level proficiency in Japanese or English

・Have been operating for around 10 years or less (flexibility based on number of applicants)

・Agree to the program terms and demonstrate willingness to participate consistently through the application formParticipation Fee- Free of charge (advance registration required; limited capacity)

Format- Available both in-person and online

Venue- Shibuya Startup Support, 1-29-3 Higashi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo (Shibuya Bridge B Building)

How to Apply- To attend the workshop in person, please register in advance using this Google Form. ​

Note:

・You can join individual sessions, but priority will be given to those who can attend the entire series.

・Once you register, you will receive emails from the organizing office before each session.

・Your registration is complete only after you receive a confirmation email from the organizers.

・Registration may close once capacity is reached, so we encourage early applications.
